REDUCE INJURY RISK AND IMPROVE PERFORMANCE ON THE FIELD
STRENGTH & CONDITIONING TRAINING
Strength & Conditioning training is often overlooked for young athletes. To truly excel as an athlete, players must have a strong athletic base that protects them from injury and allows them to gain an edge over their opponents on the field. Our program focuses on 3 key fundamental pillars of youth athletic development: Mobility, Strength and Plyometrics.
HOW THE SESSION WORKS
S4S STRENGTH & CONDITIONING IS BROUGHT TO YOU BY OPTIMUM PERFORMANCE & REHAB
Optimum Performance & Rehab was founded Marcus Sawan and has been practicing for 3+ years as a Massage/Myo Therapist and is a strength & conditioning coach. Marcus has 7 years experience within the gym and 10+ years experience playing and coaching soccer. He particularly enjoys helping athletes overcome sporting injuries and improve their performance on the field.
1. MOBILITY
This section of our program aims to improve range of motion and flexibility. Being able to move and access deep ranges of motion across all major joints of the body is a key ability needed by athletes to express speed, strength and control when moving on the field.
2. STRENGTH
This section of our program aims to increase athletes abilities to produce and absorb force. This allows athletes to be more powerful, coordinated, and less prone to soft tissue injuries in their muscles and joints.
3. PLYOMETRICS
This section of our program aims to increase athletes ability to produce force quickly and efficiently. This allows athletes to be able to run, jump, and change direction with more speed and control, whilst increasing tendon and joint capacity.
Our Strength & Conditioning program is delivered 100% online via Zoom, over a 10-week training block. To complete the sessions students will need a 2x2m space with a wall behind them, a yoga matt, foam roller and a stable internet connection with webcam availability.
Students will simply set up their webcams to show themselves, as well as their 2x2m space and equipment. The coach will then explain and demonstrate exercises for students to complete, with the coach watching on to give feedback and guidance.
